Prof. Dr. Geetha Vishwanathan
- Prof. Dr. Geetha Vishwanathan was the H.O.D. of Dept of Zoology and UGC Professor at St.Joseph's College, Bangalore.
- She was also the chairperson for genetics and board member for Zoology in Bangalore University. She has 33 yrs of vast teaching experience.
- Her main area of research work was in the field of medical genetics. She has PhD and D.Sc in the same field. She was conducting honors program by research for 22 yrs in genetics and entomology.
- She has many honours to her credit, like Recognition award from Bangalore University, Gold medal, Vidya Joythi, Vidya Bhusan awards from various universities and conferences. She has an international award of excellence and DR.S.Radhakrishnan award for education from IHMA. She received Michael Madhusudan award from Kolkata.
- She was invited to give the keynote address in UK, Malaysia, UAE etc and presented various research in many places in UK. Presently she is the research director and Ph D guide in IHMA.
- She is a resource person for various NRI groups in UAE, UK and many other countries including India. Under her guidance, many PhD scholars are doing their research work and are keenly involved in all big and small details on the work.
- Along with teaching she is involved in giving lectures on Indian Vedic tradition, culture and its scientific approach.
- She is involved in the use of alternative therapy of improving the lifestyle for better health and especially to manage the special children like autistic children. She also writes a story on the environment for children's magazine.
